The Thomastik Dominant Viola A string has a synthetic core and is wound with aluminium.

The Dominant A string is one of our best selling Viola strings. The synthetic core gives the strings tonal warmth and the feel of gut.

The sound is soft, clear and rich. Dominants are widely accepted as the string by which all others are measured and, given their legendary distinctive tone and playability, are often the first choice for teachers.

The Dominant Viola A string is available as a single string here or as part of a complete set. Available in all sizes in Medium gauge. 4/4 size also available in Soft and Hard gauge.
