The Stentor Student 1 Violin outfit is one of the main teaching instruments in Britain’s schools. This excellent quality outfit is ideal instruments for students starting out and progressing up to middle grades.

All are hand carved from solid tone woods with good quality rosewood pegs and fingerboards. Outfits include reliable wood bows and lightweight cases with integral shoulder rest and music pockets. The next level up in the Stentor range is the Stentor student II.

Upgrade strings?: The Stentor Student 1 Violin outfit comes with standard factory fitted steel strings or you have the option here of upgrading the violin by upgrading the strings. Upgrading the strings to branded, synthetic core strings will further enhance the instrument giving it a warmer and fuller sound. You can of course add any preferred string on our website to your basket and request they be fitted to the violin but we offer here three of the most popular set-ups as standard options: set up with Thomastik Alphayue strings, D'Addario Prelude or Pirastro Tonica strings.

Caswells highly recommend the Stentor Student 1 Violin outfit for the ongoing consistency and quality over many years providing an excellent foundation for the player.
